First BSc in Public Health Football Team established
“Mr George KUNNACKAL, Placement from Oxford University MSc in Global Health Programme, got a distinction for his dissertation on Bowel Cancer Screening undertakem at CUHK School of Public Health and Primary Care and the CUHK Jockey Club Bowel Cancer Screening Education Centre during his placement from 3 May to 28 June 2011. His placement is supervised by Professor Martin WONG, Associate Professor and Director of the CUHK Jockey Club Bowel Cancer Screening Education Centre, and Professor Sian GRIFFITHS, Director of the School.”

Prof. Sian Griffiths, Director of the School of Public Health and Primary Care, chaired a panel for drawing up guidelines for patients and doctors on the ideal form of primary care, for which Prof. Griffiths was interviewed by SCMP on the importance of focusing on prevention in health reform by strengthening primary care.
